Esta reflexión surge de los errores en los que caí repetidamente, cuando aún no había desarrollado la consciencia, el carácter ni la determinación necesarios para hacer un cambio significativo en mi vida.
Como mencioné en un post anterior: ¿Has encontrado una filosofía para vivir? ¿Una base clara y estable sobre la cual guiar tu vida?
Vivimos en una época donde estamos al tanto de casi todo lo que los demás hacen en su cotidianidad, gracias a las redes sociales. Estas plataformas nos permiten compartir cada detalle: los alimentos que comemos, las personas con quienes salimos, el libro que leemos, nuestras quejas, lo difícil que es nuestra vida o lo felices que somos con nuestro nuevo amor. Cada quien, a su manera, refleja lo que lleva dentro.
Personalmente, valoro esta forma de expresión. Utilizo las redes para compartir la motivación que encuentro en mis hábitos, dirigiéndome a quienes estén abiertos a recibir ese mensaje y compartan mi espíritu de evolución y transformación personal.
Sin embargo, estas herramientas son un arma de doble filo. Muchas veces, nos prestan para crear espejismos, para proyectar una falsa imagen de lo que realmente somos. Por ejemplo: tal vez estudias una carrera que te aburre o trabajas en un empleo que detestas. Cada mañana, al sonar el despertador, desearías desaparecer. Pero no podemos permitir que los demás sepan esto, así que fabricamos un engaño: proyectamos una vida feliz y exitosa, como si viviéramos en un paraíso donde todo es perfecto.
¿El resultado? Una satisfacción momentánea y vacía, que solo perpetúa nuestra inercia. Nos aferramos a la mentira, en lugar de tomar las riendas y hacer los cambios necesarios para transformar nuestra vida.
Este fenómeno va más allá de las redes sociales. Se traslada a nuestras decisiones y acciones cotidianas. Muchas veces, priorizamos la aprobación de los demás sobre nuestros propios ideales. Queremos un cuerpo atlético, pero no renunciamos a las fiestas y excesos. Anhelamos una vida tranquila y productiva, pero no estamos dispuestos a madrugar, a ser puntuales ni a trabajar en nuestra disciplina personal.
Así, terminamos adoptando hábitos tóxicos solo para encajar: presumir el último par de zapatos, el salario del empleo que detestamos, o la imagen de éxito que no se corresponde con nuestra realidad. Nos preocupamos más por cómo nos ven que por cómo nos sentimos.
Los ideales quedan relegados. El esfuerzo constante por crecer y construir una vida auténtica es reemplazado por la necesidad de destacar superficialmente. Pero quienes trabajan para sí mismos lo hacen en silencio, sin alborotos ni reconocimientos. Aquellos que buscan aprobación externa, en cambio, necesitan elogios y validación a toda costa.
Es aquí donde debemos preguntarnos: ¿hacia dónde nos dirigimos? Y no me refiero a metas laborales o académicas, sino al tipo de personas que queremos ser. Es más importante cómo me siento conmigo mismo que cómo me perciben los demás.
Te invito a que sigamos en esta búsqueda y propósito de replantearnos la imagen que proyectamos. Actuemos de manera coherente con nuestros ideales y objetivos. Tomemos decisiones positivas y construyamos hábitos que reflejen nuestros valores, no los deseos de aprobación social.
Aquellos que realmente te valoren reconocerán tu trabajo silencioso y te apoyarán en tu camino. Junto a ellos, celebrarás cada logro.
¿Y los demás? pues los demás ojalá y se encuentren a ellos mismos, o que sigan viendo en el espejo la imagen del “chévere” que ven de afuera, y no del acomplejado que habita adentro.
